Kratos Returning To PSP In Ghost Of Sparta
Sony has announced via their official blog a new entry in the God of War series, this time returning to the Playstation Portable.
Chains of Olympus is perhaps the best game on the PSP, and is arguably the best in the series on any platform (okay, I liked it the best).
While the first portable GoW was nothing to scoff, Ready At Dawn and Santa Monica Studios (the teams behind Chains of Olympus) are making some bold claims:
“…we are pushing the limits of what PSP can do with state-of-the-art visual technologies, higher resolution environments, and greater depths of scale. We’re also providing over 25% more gameplay, an improved weapon system, and new magical powers — all enjoyed anytime, anywhere.”
According to Sony PR, Ghost of Sparta will take place immediately after the events of God of War I, detailing the trails of Kratos as he ascends to godhood.
While no release date was given, the title will be playable at E3 this year, and Sony expects to unleash Kratos before the end of the year.
